As an avid poetry reader and lover, I found plenty of poets who write and perform about rape culture and sexual assault. I thought of incorporating these poems into my artwork but wasn't necessarily sure how. However, using Photoshop layers and text tools, I added the texts on top of my drawings. I did this on scan copies, in case I didn't like it. I also did a few with just plain and bold statements, to see the texts in different styles and formats. Here are the outcomes of that experiment:
